I always feel like the hoohaa generated by these stories diminishes their authority…

Nasa must have put out the phrase that the spacehip “survives it’s encounter with Pluto” because the same line was used by every news service…

Suggesting that this was some sort of epic space battle rather than a neatly choreographed and expertly planned fly-by sound makes the achievement sound superficial and phoney.

The reality is that this is a great achievement without needing to recourse to titillating PR puffery.
